Since the cast iron stuff will be gone soon....
where is a good place to pick up cast iron cookware?
Michelle and I have a good set plus a dutch oven piece... but we would like a larger skillet...

When did Chris open a camping supply store :rollseyes
:flipoff2:
(Chris there are smilies here if'n you can't see them at work!)
If you want more cast iron make sure to only get the lodge stuff as the most others are made in China using a crappy steel (so I've heard). Sportsman's Warehouse carries a lot of them at a pretty good price.

I second that opinion. My personal favorite made in the USA cast Iron is Griswold. I have a skillet of unknown age, found outside encrusted with dirt, grime, and rust. It has been cleaned up with a wire wheel, seasoned, and has given me years of use since.

I find that some of the newer cast iron has a very rough cooking surface. The best will have a nice machined surface to the cast iron.

Speaking of which, I'll see if I can't con Rod into letting me sandblast these before delivery... they aren't seasoned, so it'll make them fresh for you to season them Tim.
