We just finished our camping trailer. It is intended to carry all our camping junk, spare parts, tools etc.
I figure it weights about 530 lbs empty. I am hoping it will be under 1000# loaded. The trailer was built on a Harbor Feight trailer frame (4'x8'). The frame was made out of 1x1 sq. tubing, and the skins 3/4' plywood. Right now it just has the smaller 12" wheels, but later on 6 on 5.5 pattern hubs will be added.
Inside dimensions are 43"x70"x24"
Anyway, here it is.

Looks great. What was the load rating on the original trailer?

1800 lbs it what it is rated for. It is the "Heavy duty" one from Harbor Feight.

The old lid was leaking, and the two doors were a pain to open and close, so I welded them together, and used air springs to assist lifting and to hold the door up. Also add a some angle iron around the edges.
Then we relocated the lights and license plate out of the way. Last time I took it down to LBT, one of the lights got tore up.
Still to come...Box in the front w/ expanded metal to make a place to carry firewood, and 6-lug axles.
