I am trying to save money and need to know how hard it is to rebuild a stock toyota carb. I have never done this before...

I've done it, and it was easy. Just take your time, take it apart slowly, lable what you can, keep everything in one spot while it is disassembled, and try not to drag out the reassembling process. It seems like a nightmare, but it isn't. If you understand the mechanics of a motor and a carb, then you can do it. The hard part is putting all the vacume sh.. back on after you rebuild. Just my opinion!!!

rebuild kits are pretty cheap.
I recently cleaned mine, and I suggest that you take lots of photos.
The hardest part is probably the vacuum lines and the metal linkages from the throttle.
I have the Factory Service Manual for the 1985 Toyota Pickup, let me know if you need any of the pages scanned.

thanks for the help guys.. I am going to pickup some parts saturday.. Just got a tranny transfer case and an 86 rear axle....WAHOO
