saw this on pirate, this guy had a run in with a cut off wheel.... no face guard, he was just wearing goggles:

I have many scars to prove the value of gloves... sadly, like this guy, I never took faceguards seriously.

That is a good lesson... Here is mine...

Some tools are meant to be used with gloves, some are not. I was using a table saw, with leather gloves on. The glove caught, my thumb was pulled into the blade. 5 stiches were needed to put it back together, not bad considering. It is going on 3 years, and I still do not have all the feeling in my thumb, may never have it all.
